As a small business owner who has grown multiple small businesses using the power of social media marketing, I’m sharing ten strategies to help you grow on social media so you can go from feeling stuck to feeling confident.
10 Fast Ways to Grow on Social Media
- Record a short video for TikTok or YouTube focusing on one business or home staging tip, takeaway, or message your ideal client needs to hear. Focus on providing value, not being perfect. Then, post it. After you’ve posted it, write down a list of 10 more tips or takeaways that your ideal audience needs to hear, and set aside time every day to record one video about each tip.
- Analyze your hashtags to see which ones are working and which ones aren’t. Remove the hashtags that aren’t working, and take a few minutes to research a few new ones. Add to your core hashtags and save them to use on your posts. By being intentional with your hashtags, you’re positioning your content so that it’s more likely to be seen by your ideal client.
- Leave five positive and thoughtful comments on big creator accounts in your niche. This is a great way to get people to notice and follow you back to your account. Do this daily and watch your audience grow and engagement blossom on your social media account.
- Create three ideas for scary content that will help personalize your brand. Scary content is often content that might seem a little controversial or feature a strong opinion you have. It’s something that will help you stand out. Pssst … it will be content that gets you in front of the camera.
- Go live for eight minutes on social media and answer five of the top questions you get asked every day. Then, do this once a month and watch engagement soar with your account.
- Analyze your last 10 posts and see what resonated with your audience and what flopped. Then, create a list of 5 similar topics to create content that tugs on the same themes your audience enjoyed.
- Repost a viral video from the past. No shame in doing this at all!
- Before you share a post on a platform, create an interactive story that your audience can answer and engage with! Then, spend a few minutes engaging with your followers after your post goes live.
- Schedule the content you’ve already created or post your draft. I’m sure you’ve got some create ideas that your audience would love to hear or see!
- Figure out the best times to post on social media based on your analytics, and then schedule your content for those times.
