Social media is where your clients are. This is why it’s essential to learn Instagram strategies for home stagers so that you can leverage the power of that platform to get more leads and sales. Instagram is a powerful platform for home stagers and interior designers because it’s inherently visual and this gives you an edge because you can easily showcase not just your portfolio, but also a wide range of content that will help your brand stand out online. Today, it’s never been easier to leverage Instagram for home stagers or get more leads with TikTok for your real estate marketing. But to truly harness the power of social media and attract your dream clients, you need a solid content plan and engagement strategy. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you leverage the power of social media and attract your ideal audience.

Before you start posting, it’s essential to define your social media goals. Are you looking to grow your audience, drive more engagement, or generate sales? Once you have a clear plan, you can tailor your content to meet those goals. For instance, if your goal is to grow your audience, you might focus on creating more engaging content as part of your content plan, thereby increasing your reach on Instagram and attracting new followers to your account.

Knowing your goals is critical for the next step – creating a content plan.

Instagram Strategy #2: Create a Content Plan

Your content is the heart of your social media strategy. It’s what attracts followers, engages them, and ultimately converts them into clients. A good social media content plan includes a mix of different types of posts:

  • Engaging Content: Show off your work with before & after photos, behind-the-scenes reels, and posts sharing your mission and passion for your work. These posts draw people in and make them want to see more of what you do.
  • Educational Content: Share your expertise with infographics, Q&A posts, or live videos. This type of content positions you as an expert and provides value to your followers, making them more likely to turn to you when they need a home stager.
  • Conversion Posts: These posts highlight your services and show the results you can achieve. They might include testimonials, case studies, or posts that walk people through your staging process.

Creating a content plan that includes a mix of these types of posts is crucial for maintaining consistency and meeting your Instagram goals.  Using Instagram for home stagers or realtors requires knowing who your ideal audience is and creating a content plan to attract them.

Don’t underestimate the impact that Instagram Stories can have on helping you foster deeper connections and relationships with your audience. Instagram Stories are perfect for sharing day-to-day updates, giving your followers a peek behind the scenes at what you’re doing or new products or services you’re offering. I love them as a means for my home staging and real estate clients to show their fans what a day in the life looks like. Stories are designed to be more casual and are the perfect way to keep your audience engaged between your more polished and planned-out posts.

Instagram Strategy #7: Use Hashtags Wisely

Hashtags are a powerful tool to help increase the visibility of your posts and extend your reach on Instagram. That said, you can’t just add any hashtags you want to your post (especially if you don’t want Instagram to label your posts as “spam” and put you in IG jail). This is why I encourage you to research hashtags for your niche and which best describe your ideal or dream client. Ensure that they are relevant to your industry and to what your post is about.

When our team works with clients, part of our process is to do hashtag research and create an extensive list of hashtags that can be used to help my client’s content get broader reach and be seen by a wider audience.

Instagram Strategy #8: Collaborate with Other Industry Experts

To extend your reach on social media and get in front of more people, I strongly recommend teaming up with other industry experts or local businesses. You can collaborate with them for a live Q&A session, a joint project like a giveaway, or even just a shoutout. All of these actions, when done with the other businesses reciprocating, will amplify your reach and boost your visibility. Not only that, but by implementing this strategy, you can introduce your services to a broader audience and boost credibility and visibility around your brand.

Remember, attracting your dream clients on social media doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time, effort, and a lot of trial and error. But with a solid content plan, an engagement strategy, and the right tools, you can use social media marketing to grow your home staging or real estate business and attract your ideal clients. Leveraging the power of Instagram for home stagers and realtors is much easier than you think when you know the steps to take.
